Apple Harvest Time at Kurn Hattin
WESTMINSTER, VT—It is apple harvest time and the children at Kurn Hattin Homesconcluded the week learning about the apple growing and farming processes of their own orchards. Pulled by a tractor, the students headed out into the campus apple orchards on a country hayride to pick the many varieties of apples. Kurn Hattin’s orchard has approximately 80 trees with seven varieties. After apple picking, the children assisted thefarm manager in making and sampling fresh pressed cider. This is an annual tradition that everyone enjoys.
