Family Outreach

Offering children the opportunity for success and happiness.

InlinePhotos FamilyOutreach 2

Kurn Hattin’s Family Outreach Program updates families regularly on children’s progress and campus events, and can assist with transportation arrangements and transitions. Parents are encouraged to visit children on campus and keep in touch frequently between visits.

Kurn Hattin will also help families develop and carry out a plan for successful reunions.

Rooms on campus are available free of charge so families can stay overnight. The family outreach coordinator will assist families in finding community resources for counseling, education, financial aid and transportation assistance. By working together, families and Kurn Hattin offer children the opportunity for success and happiness.

Weekends and Holidays

Most children go home one or two weekends a month and during all school vacations. Because each family’s needs are different, the outreach department will work with families to decide what’s best for them and their children. During the summer months, students may remain on campus and participate in the summer recreation program. Activities include field trips, outdoor recreation and crafts.
