Kurn Hattin Celebrates Red Ribbon Week / Autumn Chores Farm Week
WESTMINSTER, VT— The week of October 28 – November 1 is bustling at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children. The week’s events feature Kurn Hattin’s annual celebration of national Red Ribbon Week, when faculty and students focus on drug and alcohol prevention, anti-bullying, and Internet safety. Students attend workshops, participate in role plays, watch films, and write poems and essays reflecting those themes.
In addition, students will be wrapping up harvest season on the farm and prepping for winter with Autumn Chores Farm Week, picking the last of the apple crop, pressing fresh cider, planting garlic, and digging potatoes.
