Samirah Evans, Keene Jazz Orchestra join area youth for Kurn Hattin Jazz Invitational, April 9

WHAT: Kurn Hattin Homes for Children will hold its 7th Annual JazzInvitationalwith special guests: the Keene Jazz Orchestra, directed by Scott Mullett, New Orleans-born singer, Samirah Evans, and Master of Ceremonies, Eugene Uman of the VermontJazz Center.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 9, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

WHO: This year’s program features youth jazz ensembles from Bellows Falls Union High School, Brattleboro Area Middle School, Northfield Mount Herman, Kurn Hattin Homes For Children, Vermont Academy, and the Vermont Jazz Center.

WHERE: Higbie Auditorium in the Mayo Memorial Center at Kurn Hattin Homes in Westminster, Vermont

Established in 1894, Kurn Hattin Homes for Children in Westminster, Vermont is a charitable, year-round home and school for boys and girls, ages 5-15, who are affected by tragedy and social or economic hardship. Kurn Hattin Homes transforms the lives of children and their families forever.
